Dora Palma

LGSW

¡Hola! I am Dora Palma (she/her), a cis woman of color, an immigrant, and a passionate runner. I am also a transgenerational trauma survivor turned trauma therapist and clinical social worker.

I have several years of experience working as a parent educator and facilitator. I have collaborated in the research, development, implementation, and facilitation of different programs that promote secure attachment, healthy relationships, and self-discovery.

As an immigrant and woman of color, I draw on my own experiences and training to deliver a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. My journey as a transgenerational trauma survivor has ignited in me an unwavering compassion and understanding for those seeking healing. I am especially passionate about working with immigrants, people who have experienced trauma, survivors of domestic or sexual abuse, relational breakdowns, and challenges with their families of origin, as well as those seeking to restore their spiritual connections to the land and their ancestors.

With firm compassion and unwavering understanding, I aspire to accompany you on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Through our work together, I hope to help you discover that all the answers you are looking for are already within you, you just need a little help to rediscover your intuition and inner strength and relearn how to tune into your intuition. I believe true healing happens when we tune into all parts of ourselves with curiosity, acceptance, and compassion, listening to our body’s innate wisdom to heal our spirit in ways our rational minds never could.

I feel deeply honored to witness each of my client’s transformative power of self-discovery and healing through narrative experience therapy(NET), mindfulness, somatic practices, EMDR, and parts work.
