Keegan Freiburger
MSW | LICSW
Keegan (any/all) offers individual, couples, family, and group therapies. Partnering with people who feel hurt or stuck or disconnected in the world, they explore: ‘what else is possible here?’ Keegan believes that we heal in relationships that welcome our messiness, honor our stories, and nurture our unique gifts. Wherever they are, Keegan loves to explore the question: “How can we cultivate more life-affirming relationships, practices, and spaces here?”
Keegan loves to listen deeply, to ask questions that create space for people’s honest experience, especially the parts that feel stuck or unwitnessed, to partner with people in honoring their experience as a guide towards wholeness, to explore real-time opportunities to shift stuck patterns, to try on and practice different ways to be in the world that move us towards our longings and nurture our fuller aliveness.
At Anam Cara, some of the ways of being Keegan is practicing are:
- to honor the body as a wise teacher and accountability buddy,
- to trust that sharing our authenticity is a gift in the web of relationships,
- to cultivate playfulness as a pathway to a more loving world that is possible.
Some of Keegan’s core passions include supporting healing that is:
- deeper (liberatory, not analgesic) and sustainable (that builds momentum, not exhausts it),
- more intergenerational, accountable, de-professionalized, community-embedded and genuinely ecological,
- empowering people to become agents of healing in their circles,
- enabling people to better understand their interdependencies and have ways to give and receive care within that network,
- developing nurturing relationships and interrupting abusive/extractive ones,
- nurturing life-giving lineages and interrupting harmful ones.
One of the best ways to feel out fit is to have a conversation and notice your own experience. If you think Keegan might be a fit for what you want to practice this season, feel free to reach out to Anam Cara through the contact page.
